Note: Yesterday was my anniversary so I’m a little late đ
I’ve thrown out my scale! No really, I did!  I’ve become obsessed with numbers and am getting discouraged when I don’t see what I want to see.  Ugghhh!
I know logically that I shouldn’t weigh myself everyday and that as women our weight will fluctuate daily. I also know all about the “muscle weighs more than fat” theory, but all that doesn’t seem to matter when you just want to lose weight!
The last thing I want to do is get discouraged so while I’ll continue to share my weekly weight loss journey, I’m only going to “weigh in” about every 3-4 weeks. I won’t even know!
As for this past week, I did great! My mom and I headed to the gym 5 times last week and we are on target for the same this week! Woohoo! I’m so proud of my mom for not only supporting me but for seeing her increase her own fitness goals. Last week she decided to “try” out the eliptical and while she didn’t think she would even be on for 3 minutes she went for 10! Now she stays on even longer. It’s so nice to have a workout buddy!
My eating plan has been going well too. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies from Aldi’s (they are usually cheapest there or you can price match at Walmart), grilled chicken, and salad. I don’t feel deprived at all. Next week I’ll show you some of the food I’ve been eating, I’ve been taking pictures (crazy, huh?)
So how’s your fitness goal coming along? Do you weigh yourself too much? Have your thrown out your scale? I’d love to hear from you!
I am a scale-a-holic! I am on it numerous times a day, its worse when Im not pregnant! I love the feeling of being healthier though, the energy and instant mood booster, you just feel wonderful. Also, when I was working on weightloss last summer, I used the site, sparkpeople.com to track what I was eating and calories burned. It helped a ton to make sure I was getting all the nutrients I needed along with the calories needed in order to lose the weight. I lost 50lbs using that site, and I recommend it to everyone I know. Good job throwing out the scale, its not something I could do, I have hubby hide it for me when I get out of control.
I weigh myself every day… even if I only lose a fraction of a pound, that’s my motivation to keep going because I HATE exercising! Lol And if I gain, I just make a mental note to push myself a little harder that day… but its different for everyone! I seem to do less than my sister (because Im much lazier) but see near the same results. But we’ve both been slacking the past couple weeks and now im terrified to weigh myself again! Lol
I don’t weigh myself at all,but I have been playing the wii everyday for a half hour a day,I have been playing the wii dance games, and wow it is a work out,I have 5 kids and two small ones so I can’t do the gym or do a whole lot of anything so I see them play the dance games and thought even if I don’t loose that much some is better then none,I just do the pants test every month if there a little big I am happy.
