Hey locals!  Fligner’s, in Lorain, Ohio is once again offering a HOT deal on boneless, skinless chicken breasts!  You can grab a chicken breasts for only $1.29/lb when you buy a 40 lb box.  Now, 40 lbs may sounds like a lot but keep in mind that you can always split it with a friend or family member.

If you are new to Fligner’s chicken, you’ll want to be sure to have freezer bags on hand as the 4o lbs of chicken usually come is 4 bags in a large box.  Once home, I separate the chicken into dinner portions.

Ohio Dance presents The Nutcracker December 20 – 22nd

Last night I was able to attend the dress rehearsal of Ohio Dance Theatre’s presentation of The Nutcracker at Lorain County Community College.  I was amazed to see such a superb performance such with dazzling costumes, beautiful scenery and fantastic dancing.  The dancers seemed to defy gravity as the leaped, turned, and  jumped!

The Nutcracker is the most family-friendly of Tchaikovsky’s ballets (he also created Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake) and the music is recognizable by even those who have never attended.  I was excited to bring along my son, mom, dad and grandmother to this sneak peek performance last night and we were all able to hum along with many of the pieces as we enjoyed the gorgeous performance.  My 8 year old son was so enthralled with the performance that he was able to sit through the whole performance quietly.  For those of you with little boys you’ll understand how amazing that is!

During this year’s production of The Nutcracker, the Ohio Dance Theatre is happy to announce their guest artist, New York City Ballet principal dancer, Daniel Ulbicht.  Daniel, has toured nationally and internationally as a dancer and also teaches at many well-known dance schools, private schools, and universities throughout the United States.

This past weekend I was able to spend the evening with ballerinas from Ohio Dance Theatre and see a few numbers from their upcoming performance of The Nutcracker!  I was in absolute awe as they danced, jumped and twirled to the music.  I’ve never been so close to such enchanting dancing and I can’t wait to see the full show!

Since The Nutcracker is being performed at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio you won’t have to battle downtown traffic or pay for parking.  Best of all, every seat at Lorain County Community College Stocker Center is fabulous!  We recently saw Ohio Dance Theatre’s performance of Cinderella and just absolutely loved it so we can’t wait to see another performance by this talented company of dancers.
