Cleveland Aquarium Ticket Deal! Save $10 on TWO Tickets!

May 26, 2015 by racheljk Leave a Comment

cleveland aquarium ticket deal
Greater Cleveland Aquarium Deal

Just a reminder, this deal is still available but limited passes are left. Don’t delay if you want this deal!

If you’ve been thinking about visiting the Cleveland Aquarium, now is your chance. Livingsocial is currently offering a Greater Cleveland Aquarium ticket deal. You can grab TWO general admission tickets for $29.99 (reg. $39.99).  This is perfect timing for me as I will be going on Friday for my son’s field trip.

  • Two General Admission Tickets
  • All Sorts of Local and Exotic Fish, Sharks, and More!
  • Following Purchase, Register Your Voucher Online
cleveland aquarium deal
See the world’s sea life — from jellyfish to sharks and from the touch pool to the 175-foot underwater SeaTube — at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, where you and your little one can spend a day learning about the world’s water and the things that live inside it.Trips through the aquarium should take at least 90 minutes — and potentially more. But your tickets will be good for the entire day, and if you exit you can return, as long as the aquarium’s not at capacity. That gives you plenty of time — and opportunity — to see nine fascinating galleries.

The Livingsocial deal is perfect for adults but for kiddos, The Cleveland Aquarium is offering a better deal at the front desk. As long as the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the playoffs, guests wearing Cleveland Cavaliers gear receive a $4  discount on general admission tickets. The promotion concludes when the Cavs’ season is complete. Tickets must be purchased at the GCA front ticket counter and applies to both adults and children.

Rougarou at Cedar Point – A New Floorless Roller Coaster

May 11, 2015 by racheljk Leave a Comment

Rougarou Review Cedar Point

**Find me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!***

Have you heard? Cedar Point opened this weekend! While it was a happy day for most, it was practically a national holiday for my family. All winter long we awaited the opening of our dear beloved (and second summer home), Cedar Point. In fact we love it so much we invest in season passes each summer!

As a frugal mama, I personally believe Cedar Point season passes are a wonderful investment and a wise choice for my family. Our Cedar Point season passes provide us endless fun for three seasons, from the warm spring days to the crisp fall evenings. Best of all, with our Cedar Point Platinum Passes we can get into all other Cedar Fair parks for free, included Kings Island in Cincinnati, Wild Water Kingdom in Aurora and Michigan’s Adventure just to name a few.

Rougarou review cedar point 1
For its 146th season, Cedar Point debuted the floorless scream machine, Rougarou. Towering 14 stories above the Midway, The Rougarou flips it’s passengers upside down four times while traveling more than 60 mph. Thrill seekers will love that this is Cedar Point’s 17th roller coaster.

While the track may look the same as previous coaster Mantis, Rougarou has a whole new feel.  My son and I rode this new coaster several times on Cedar Point Media Day and we both agreed that the Rougarou is a HUGE upgrade and completely different experience.

The interesting name Rougarou may have some scratching their heads.  A Rougarou is similar to a werewolf or a Bigfoot and comes from French folklore.  We enjoyed the growling that could be heard while walking by the new coaster which adds to the anticipation.

In addition to the new ride, Cedar Point has completed it’s 2 year renovations on the beautiful Hotel Breakers. The hotel, built in 1905, has undergone its share of remodeling, but this is one of its biggest transformations yet.

The previous entrance was torn down in November, and the Bon Air section demolished. Cedar Point was able to keep historic pieces, including a large Tiffany glass which now adorns the gorgeous new entrance.

hotel breakers renovations
While at the park, I was able to take a peek into the rooms and was blown away by the renovations. The rooms have a beach resort feel, with new carpeting and furniture in neutral tones. Bright red chairs are not only practical but also environmentally conscious as they are made with recycled Coca-Cola bottles.

I absolutely loved the brightly colored bedspreads and Cedar Point pictured headboards.  The hotel rooms all offer free wi-fi internet access, iHome docking stations, and enough electrical outlets for your whole family.

Hotel Breakers Renovations 2015 a

My family will be staying at Hotel Breakers in June and I can’t wait to tell you more about it.  Looking to book a stay? Keep in mind that hotel rates vary depending on the type of room and the time of the year. Rates for all the Cedar Point properies are listed on the Cedar Point website.

Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. I was invited to Media Day to preview the new ride and to tour Hotel Breakers. All opinions are my own.

🦁✨ Look behind the stage of Disney's @thelionking 🦁✨ Look behind the stage of Disney's @thelionking at @playhousesquare My son and I saw the show last week, and it completely blew us away. The costumes, the music, the puppetry... it was one of the most incredible productions we've ever seen. ❤️ DON'T be late! The opening number is quite a unique experience. The next morning, we went back for a behind-the-scenes tour, and it made us appreciate the show even more! We learned that some of the masks are made with real horsehair, got to see how the amazing puppets are operated on stage, and discovered one of my favorite fun facts... Zazu's neck is made from a slinky! 🤯 Another fun surprise? Rob Sapp, who plays Ed, one of the hyenas, is from Solon, Ohio! 🙌 I always love hearing about local talent making it to Broadway, and it made the experience even more special knowing there was an Ohio connection. It's amazing how much creativity, engineering, and artistry go into bringing this beloved story to life. Whether you've seen the animated movie once or a hundred times, seeing it on stage is an unforgettable experience. 🎭 Disney's The Lion King is at Playhousesquare through August 16, and I can't recommend it enough. If it's on your bucket list, now's the time! 💛 Have you seen The Lion King on stage? Or tell me your favorite Broadway show in the comments! 👇 #bwycle #thelionking #clevelandmom #ohiofindithere
