Have you heard? A brand new SAVERS store, has opened in Brooklyn, Ohio! Savers, a thrift superstore chain with more than 330 locations across North America, hosted a grand opening spectacular on Thursday, September 24. While I missed the opening while in Las Vegas, I was super excited to visit this second store in the greater Cleveland area.

As soon as my plane landed, I scooped up my boys and we headed out. They’ve been begging to start looking for Halloween costumes, and I knew that Savers would be just the place! Yes, I know that Halloween is more than a month away but for the best selection, now is the time to shop.  Being a mom of three boys, I want them to be happy with their selection while still trying to save some money, so a thrift store like Savers is perfect

New to the Savers Store? Read why 5 Things I LOVE about Savers!  There is so much to love!

As we walked inside, I was amazed by Savers selection. Savers is not your ordinary thrift store, instead it’s a Halloween’s lover’s paradise. I was only expecting second hand Halloween costumes but Savers also offers brand new costumes that are made just for their store while still a great price. Even better they have Costume Consultants that can help you put together a costume. I was approached by two separate employees that offered to help. They are easy to spot as they are dressed in fun costumes!

On top of costumes, Savers also offers a huge selection of Halloween accessories. Swords for pirates, bandannas for cowboys, wigs, hats and so much more. I was really amazed by their selection and thought it really rivaled a Halloween only store.  What I loved about this section was that it makes it easy to a accessorize an outfit you already have or that you put together in the store.

My boys had so much fun looking through all the new and used costumes.  In fact we had so many that it took at least 45 minutes to try them all on. While we tried on both new and used. Both boys decided to go with used costumes. My oldest decided on the green ninja, my middle son went with Darth Vader, while my youngest will be wearing the doctor costume.

After Halloween costume shopping we still had time to look around and shop. Savers thrift store offers much more than clothes in their super clean store. Savers stores have books, toys, games, housewares, furniture, movies, and so much more. I really love how organized the store is. It makes it so easy to find what you are looking for. If you haven’t yet been to a savers store, you are missing out.

Before leaving I picked up a new saucepan and lid which was only $2.99. My boys also found a new Disney game called, Where is My Water for only $3.99. They couldn’t wait to get home to play it.

🦁✨ Look behind the stage of Disney's @thelionking 🦁✨ Look behind the stage of Disney's @thelionking at @playhousesquare My son and I saw the show last week, and it completely blew us away. The costumes, the music, the puppetry... it was one of the most incredible productions we've ever seen. ❤️ DON'T be late! The opening number is quite a unique experience. The next morning, we went back for a behind-the-scenes tour, and it made us appreciate the show even more! We learned that some of the masks are made with real horsehair, got to see how the amazing puppets are operated on stage, and discovered one of my favorite fun facts... Zazu's neck is made from a slinky! 🤯 Another fun surprise? Rob Sapp, who plays Ed, one of the hyenas, is from Solon, Ohio! 🙌 I always love hearing about local talent making it to Broadway, and it made the experience even more special knowing there was an Ohio connection. It's amazing how much creativity, engineering, and artistry go into bringing this beloved story to life. Whether you've seen the animated movie once or a hundred times, seeing it on stage is an unforgettable experience. 🎭 Disney's The Lion King is at Playhousesquare through August 16, and I can't recommend it enough. If it's on your bucket list, now's the time! 💛 Have you seen The Lion King on stage? Or tell me your favorite Broadway show in the comments! 👇 #bwycle #thelionking #clevelandmom #ohiofindithere
🩷 Would you hand feed the world's LARGEST rodent? 🩷 Would you hand feed the world's LARGEST rodent? We had the BEST day at @africansafariwildlifepark in Port Clinton, Ohio! This family-friendly attraction features both a drive-through safari and a walk-through park where you can get up close to hundreds of amazing animals from around the world. One of our favorite parts of the day was adding on the Capybara Feeding Experience! Capybaras are the world's largest rodents, and getting to feed these gentle, social animals was such a unique experience. For a small additional fee, the park also offers several other animal encounters, so you can customize your visit with even more unforgettable memories. I needed a housewarming gift for a friend who just moved into a new home, so I headed to @voathrift, instead of a big box store. I walked out with a basket full of adorable finds! 🏡🛍️ The best part? Several of the items were brand new! From cute home décor to kitchen goodies, I found thoughtful gifts for a fraction of what I would have spent buying everything new. I truly think it's less about where a gift comes from and more about the thought behind it. 💙 So tell me... would you thrift a gift for someone? Or have you already?
