School will start before I know it, so my family is trying to squeeze every bit of summer fun that we can. One place that you can count on summer fun is Cedar Point, especially their nightly PARTY, Cedar Point Nights! Grab your family, grab your friends and head to the Point!
Cedar Point Nights runs daily through August 18, 2019 with varying entertainment schedules from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. This nightly party lets you hang out with friends and family on the beach while enjoying live music, games, fire pits and more as the sun sets.
This year Cedar Point bumped up the fun with even more choices. Each evening you can choose between the all new Lakeside Beach Music Festival inside the park or the the Beach Glow Party right on the Cedar Point beach! Best of all you can do them both.
GLOW PARTY ON THE BEACH
The beach party kicks off each night at 6pm and it’s a great place to spend time with family while you dig your toes in the sand. Whether you are sitting down to relax after a fun-filled day in the park or are coming down to PARTY. This is the perfect place to end you night at Cedar Point!
My friends and I took our kiddos a few days ago and we simply had a blast! There were games scattered around the beach that were free to play with and a DJ playing some tunes. He knew just what songs to play to get the crowd dancing and up off their feet.
If you are looking for something more low-key, grab an Adirondack chair on the beach and sit near a fire pit. Cedar Point employees will come down and make sure it stays lit (how great is that?). Sitting next to Lake Erie as the sun sets, is so peaceful.
When the sun goes down, the nighttime glow-in-the-dark party begins. While there is a DJ performing, if you’d rather, you can grab a pair of headphones (free to rent – bring your ID) for Silent Disco and choose the musical genre of your choice. Once it’s dark, the beach comes alive with oversized glow inflatables, beach activities like glow volleyball and glow corn hole.
LAKESIDE BEACH MUSICAL FESTIVAL
New this year and inside the park (near the Windseeker) guests can enjoy some fun even before the sun goes down. Starting at 6pm each night this area of the park comes alive. I spotted sea shell dig for little ones along with arts and crafts such as Lake Erie driftwood painting and mini pirate raft building. There isn’t an extra fee for this as it’s included in the price of your Cedar Point ticket.
On the huge new Lakeside Stage, there is a nightime music festival featuring live performances from local bands, such as Mellow Yellow, Country Chill and Walkin’ On Sunshine. It was fun to see so many families listening to music while kids young and old danced in front of the stage!
During the earlier hours a DJ is playing tunes from his booth while you can grab a chair or sit near an enclosed fire pit. I also spotted food booths with specialty items that looked and tasted delicious.
Near the Lakeside Stage, I spotted stilt walkers, clowns and performers entertaining guests. They were dressed in colorful costumes as guests oohed and ahhed watching them perform.
New Cedar Point Ticket Deal
Guests can join in the fun of Cedar Point Nights inside and outside the park with the new “25 after 5” ticket.
Valid for admission to Cedar Point only, the ticket is just $25 (plus applicable taxes & fees) and can be used after 5 p.m. any single evening during Cedar Point Nights. The 25 after 5 ticket is available online only and cannot be purchased at the park.
