Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point ~ New, Improved and Gorgeous!

March 10, 2016 by racheljk Leave a Comment

My family was hosted at the newly renovated Hotel Breakers so I could share with my fabulous readers all the amazing renovations! As always, all opinions are my own.

Note: My family visited Cedar Point’s Hotel Breakers in the summer of 2015.

My family simply loves Cedar Point! Having lived within 30 minutes of it’s gates for almost my whole life I’ve been able to visit 100’s of times. Even though we live so close we always stay overnight on Cedar Point property, at least once or twice a year. Now that Cedar Point has completely renovated the historic Hotel Breakers, you’ll definitely want to stay too!

Updated Grand Entrance and Lobby

Hotel Breakers started with a complete update to their front entrance.  This area is now one level and matches the stately hotel beautifully.  The Hotel Breakers lobby also got a major update and now features new furniture and carpet, carved carousel horses and a gorgeous two story check-in. I personally love that they kept the kiddie area complete with pint sized chairs and a TV with cartoons. This makes checking-in a breeze for those of you with little ones.

Don’t miss the five-story rotunda that features a full-service Starbucks and a refreshing Surf Lounge bar with a patio. This area offers comfortable seating which makes it the perfect area to chat with friends or read a book.  If you are hungry, there are popular, full service restaurants such as TGI Friday’s, Perkins and TOMO Hibachi Grill.

The New Hotel Breakers Rooms:

The renovations at Hotel Breakers are absolutely amazing! Let’s start with the newly designed rooms. Most of the hotel was taken down to its studs and many were reconfigured.  Hotel Breakers made approximately one-third of the rooms suites which feature all-new furniture, bathrooms, carpeting and linens.

Our room was bright and cheery and I especially loved the Ferris wheel headboards. It was like bringing a little of the park, right into our hotel. The beds at Hotel Breakers were incredibly comfortable and and the pillow were large and fluffy. My family of 4 all slept well.

The rooms all have colorful furniture and linens, with beadboard dressers and bright-red chairs made out of recycled Coca-Cola bottles. The bathrooms are a nice size with premium toiletries from Bath and Body Works which smell great! I think the extra hanging bar inside of the shower in our room was genius! It was the perfect place to hang our wet bathing suits to dry.

There are many different types of rooms that are sure to fit families of all different sizes.  These include king and queen rooms, suites, and even adjoining suites.  For those looking for true luxury, there is a concierge-level with it’s own lounge and other amenities. Regardless of which room your pick, each guest room features an LCD TV, iHome docking stations, free Wi-Fi, dorm-sized refrigerator, microwave plus new bedding, décor and furniture.

Did you know? When you stay at a Cedar Point property you get

  • The best deals on Cedar Point admission packages
  • Complimentary parking with full in/out privileges
  • ONE HOUR of Early Entry to Cedar Point
  • Shuttle service throughout the Cedar Point peninsula

Fun at Hotel Breakers:

Hotel Breakers is much more than just a room to sleep in. The Hotel Breakers renovation added a new outdoor pool deck that includes a water play area for kids with zero-depth entry, a hot tub plus new deck chairs and umbrellas. Oh can I just mention, the pool towels? They are large, fluffy and smell so good! Seriously, what detergent are they using? Even my boys noticed!

hotel breakers kiddie pool

My boys had a blast in the kiddie area and spent a few hours before wanting to try something new. With the waterslides, geysers, waterfalls and swimming area, I can see why. While I kept a good eye on them while they were in this area, I was happy to see that there were also several lifeguards doing a great job patrolling the area on all sides.

If you’d like a little relaxation away from the kiddie area, Hotel Breakers has you covered! They offer a large (and I mean LARGE) outdoor hot tub along with their outdoor pool. Oh and did I mention that all the pools at Hotel Breakers are heated? This makes swimming in any type of Ohio weather much more comfortable. Best of all, while we were at the pool, there was a DJ pumping out some tunes which were fun and family friendly.

When it’s time to get out of the water, Hotel Breakers offers many other things to do too. You can head down to their exclusive beach that’s full of comfy beach chairs with indiviual umbrellas. We planned ahead and brought our own sand toys which kept my active boys busy for quite a while. It was nice to sit back relax with a book and just watch them play!

hotel breakers cedar point
The beach is also a great place to play a game of volleyball with friends or even listen to a live band! While we were on the beach, we were able to listen to the highly entertaining, Toes in the Sand Band who will be playing throughout the summer. They played both new and older songs that kept our feet tapping as we sang along.  Of course, I had to get a selfie with the lead singer!

hotel breakers pool

Once the sun sets, Hotel Breakers has a great new spot to sit, relax and chat with family and friends at the two new outdoor fire pits. These are not only large but they are also have ample seating all the way around that will comfortably sit even the largest group.

Our family had a blast at Hotel Breakers and while we live nearby, we are already planning our next visit. Hotel Breakers is the perfect place to stay next time you visit Cedar Point and I highly recommend it.  The renovations will simply amaze you!

Castaway Bay – A Tropical Oasis All Year!

February 17, 2015 by racheljk 100 Comments

Castaway Bay Resort review and giveaway
Disclaimer: This is not a paid post and all opinions are my own. Thanks to Castaway Bay for giving me tickets for review and giveaway.

UPDATE:  The giveaway is now over. The winner is Steven Mosley!  Steven, please check your email.

It’s downright FREEZING here in Ohio but a couple weeks ago my family enjoyed a weekend away at Castaway Bay Resort where it’s always a balmy 82 degrees!

Castaway Bay is located in Sandusky, Ohio, right outside the entrance of Cedar Point and conveniently located to area highways. This indoor waterpark and resort boasts overnight accommodations, restaurants, an arcade and so much more. As soon as you walk through the doors the large pirate ship complete with singing parrots is sure to put you into the tropical mood!

Accommodations:

Our room had two comfy beds, large bathroom, mini refrigerator, microwave and screened balcony.  Of course, it was a little too cold to enjoy that last amenity but the view was gorgeous!  We did need an extra bed for our family of five but a roll away was brought up when asked and fit perfectly in our room (additional fee may apply).

Castaway Bay starfish room

Castaway room balcony

While my hubby and I enjoyed relaxing in the room, our kiddos were itching to get to the park. Before we left, we transferred our cooler snacks and drinks in the refrigerator so they’d be ready when we got back to our room. It was really convenient and money saver to have this feature!

The Waterpark:

Our first stop was the Castaway Bay wave pool where we frolicked in the warm waters and jumped in the waves.  This was an area the whole family enjoyed from my youngest to the oldest.  There are chairs surrounding this zero entry area so even if you don’t get in, you can sit and dip your toes in.

castaway bay wave pool a

Another favorite was the indoor/outdoor hot tub.  The weekend we visited Winter Storm Linus blew through so it was so fun to enjoy a soak while snow was falling all around.  It was so relaxing to let the jets massage my aching muscles and bask in the warm waters. This area was open to our whole family but children under a certain height do need accompanied by and adult.

castaway bay hot tub
This was the first year that both of my oldest boys were brave enough to try out the waterslides and this was the first time that I felt comfortable to go down myself. Losing weight has been liberating to me both physically and mentally and it was a joy to do something my boys wanted to do!

Castaway Bay offers slides for both the younger ones and those young at heart.  In fact one called Rendezvous Run, is a rousing 35-foot-high, 520-foot-long water roller coaster that propels you uphill using water jets. Of course, this Cedar Point waterpark is going to have a COASTER WATERSLIDE!

castaway bay waterpark sandusky
If you have little ones you won’t want to miss the Lookout Lagoon Family Funhouse which features pint sized slides, bridges, water guns and a 1000 gallon tipping bucket. They also offer Toddler Tide Pool with smaller slides and a zero entry pool and Creature Cove which offers basketball hoops and numerous flotation devices.  Our family spent a lot of time in this area just swimming about.

Restaurants:

If you get hungry, you don’t have to go far as Castaway Bay Big hosts the eatery Daddy’s Snack Shack inside the waterpark. Their menu items include pizza, wings and breadsticks, hot dogs, warm pretzels, soft serve ice cream and more.  Our family ordered a large pizza and we had enough to take back to our room to eat later.

If you are a bit hungier, hop into Mango Mike’s! This buffet style restaurant offers both breakfast and dinner menus at separate times.  We went for the breakfast buffet and it had everything that breakfast lovers would want including pancakes, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, yogurt, muffins, cereal and more.  There were choices galore!  The restaurant has huge windows that show off the gorgeous views outside so be sure to pick a window seat.

Castaway Bay restaurants

The Arcade:

Last year when we came to Castaway Bay, we missed the Arcade, so this year we were sure to check it out. I was really surprised how large it was inside and how many different games that they offered. Castaway Bay makes it super easy for you and loads all the tickets you earn right on your card.  With three little boys this makes it so convenient.

When it came time to redeem our tickets, my boys were all able to pick our a few prizes to take home. This was their favorite part but man, did they take a LONG time to decide with so many choices.  I guess we won a little too much…not that they were complaining.

Hotel Breakers Renovations:

While we attended the Cedar Point event, I was able to attend a blogger event in the evening.  I was blown away and super excited to hear about the renovations being make to Cedar Point’s gorgeous Hotel Breaker’s Hotel.  Located on the mile-long Cedar Point beach, Hotel Breakers is completing it’s 2-year transformation and turning it into an updated resort that we will marvel at.

Hotel Breakers will boast a new entrance portal, newly-furnished and remodeled rooms with LCD TV’s, new furniture, bedding and décor, and many other amenities and offerings. Additional enhancements include a new Starbucks and the Surf Lounge bar inside the famous rotunda, widened exterior green space with panoramic views of Lake Erie and an outdoor water play area with zero depth entry and splash features.

Kalahari Sandusky, Ohio: A huge waterpark filled with slides, rides and buckets of FUN!

March 18, 2014 by racheljk 5 Comments

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio waterpark 1

I was recently invited to spend a couple days at Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio.  We were able to do and see so much while we were there that I am sharing a three-part series.  This is the third post.

  • Part 1: Kalahari – Fun for the whole family (food)
  • Part 2: Kalahari dry activities– Fabulously FUN Dry Activities Galore!

As soon as we arrived at Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio, my boys couldn’t wait to put on their suits and head to the waterpark! Since my husband and mother were arriving later in the day, I was on my own with three boys under 8. Since two were too old to come into the dressing room with me, I was so glad to see that Kalahari offered family changing rooms.  This made it so much easier to get everyone changed without worrying about them being too far from me.

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio waterpark 2

Since my boys are all different ages, they all love different things.  I’m so glad that while Kalahari offers fun for all ages, there are also things we can enjoy as a family!

Family-Friendly Waterpark Activities:

One of our favorite things to do together at Kalahari is the jump in the Wave Pool.  This 12,000 sq. ft wave pool with sweep you away by the rocking waves about every 10 minutes.  When the waves shut off, it turns into a huge pool.  It’s always fun to hear the shrieks and cheers of the buzzer announcing the next set of waves.

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio waterpark 3.jpg

When you are ready to sit back and relax, head over to the Lazy river.  Grab a tube, throw a life jacket on those 48 inches or shorter, and enjoy your float down 920 feet of adventure!  You’ll glide down the lazy river while nearly missing (or jumping under, if you prefer) several geysers, waterfalls, and more.

For those of you with younger ones who are up for a bit of thrill, don’t miss Leopard’s Lair.  This area is surrounded by a 3,000 sq. ft., zero-entry pool.  It includes net crawls, water guns, slides from 6-20 feet high, and has several levels of interactive water fun!  My youngest likes to stay closest to the ground, while my oldest ventures up to the highest slides.  Be sure to look out for the ginormous bucket of water that will fall over every few minutes.

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio

My youngest, Jackson, loved areas just for him.  Designed for the 42″ and shorter crowd, Coral Cove and Kids Safari are two play areas that feature slides, swings, tunnels, and mini basketball hoops. Since the big kids aren’t around, your child can play to their heart’s content.  Jackson really enjoyed himself in this area while my older boys watched on.

If you love hot tubs, you are in for a real treat at Kalahari!  They have two indoor/outdoor hot tubs designed for the family.  The temperature of the water is perfect, and there is seating all the way around to make it easy for you to sit back and relax.

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio 3

Thrills for those who dare:

Ready for a water coaster?  Yep, they have that too!  The Zip Coaster propels riders through 500 incredible feet and 30 gripping seconds of free falls, dips and high-banking turns.  This ride features tunnels, gushing geysers and gut-wrenching drops.  Hold on tight because you’ll be going to speeds up to 20 miles per hour!

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 10

Of course, Kalahari also has many slides and rides for those of you who want a bit more excitement.  The popular FlowRider offers riders a true-to-life surfing experience when 50,000 gallons of water each minute flow under you to create a five-foot ocean-like wave.  This is the time to try out your boogie-boarding skills in this incredible and safe environment. I didn’t see any sharks around at all…you can’t say that about the ocean.

Slides such as Victoria Falls, Rippling Rhino, and Swahili Swirl allow up to 4 people to coast down the tubes, which are perfect for those who are a bit more daring.  My oldest sons and I got a kick out of coasting down these chutes together.

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio waterpark 4

Race your family and friends on the region’s only 4-lane racer slides, The Cheetah Race! This slide will bring out the competitor in you as you zoom down the 55 ft decline.  Instead of a tube, this slide uses a comfy mat.

There are so many more rides and slides for you adventure seekers, so head over here and see what Kalahari can offer!

Kalahari Sandusky Ohio cabana

To make your stay even more enjoyable at Kalahari, you can rent one of the many cabanas throughout the park.  These private cabanas offer a security safe, refrigerator, chaise lounges, and table.  It is the perfect place to eat your lunch, relax between slides, and spend time with family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kalahari Resorts and can’t wait to get back!  Want to stay at Kalahari?  Check out the Kalahari deals that are currently offering.  For more Kalahari deals, check out their Facebook page.

Disclosure:  All opinions are my own.  I received a free nights stay, meals and other activities to facilitate this review. Regardless, I only recommend things that I think would be a good fit for my readers.

Kalahari Resorts Sandusky, Ohio – Part 2: Fabulously FUN Dry Activities Galore!

March 14, 2014 by racheljk Leave a Comment

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 2

I was recently invited to spend a couple days at Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio.  We were able to do and see so much while we were there that I will be sharing a three part series Kalahari food, Kalahari dry activities and Kalahari waterpark.  Today I’d like to share all about the ton of dry activities that Kalahari offers.

Our room:

While the size of Kalahari is just staggering, we found it a breeze to check in.  When we arrived, there was a good-sized line but with the number of employees at the front desk, the line moved right along.

As we walked into our room, we were excited to see that we had gotten a large 2-room family suite. This room includes one king bed, a separate room with two queen beds and a queen sofa sleeper, a patio, and a fireplace. It also boasts two televisions, two full baths, a microwave, and a mini fridge.  When you book this room, you can get up to 6 waterpark passes and can even add one or two guests by using the sofa sleeper at $25 per person.  This makes it so much easier for larger families to travel.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 3

One of our favorite features was a door that separated us from the kiddos.  While you are still in the same room, it definitely gives you much more privacy.  In fact, because of that door, my hubby and I could sleep in a tad later than usual the following morning while my boys watched TV in their own room.

Meet the Animals:

Kalahari offers a unique experience for kids of all ages with their indoor and outdoor animal encounters.  The day we were there, the outdoor Safari Adventures Animal Park was closed but inside the lobby area, we were able to meet a few animals up close.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 8

Kids and adults can take a picture (fee) with baby cubs such as this cute 8-week old tiger.  My boys were excited to see a real tiger up close and were even able to pet him.  Isn’t he just adorable?  We were also able to see and touch a tarantula up close…YIKES!  I have serious arachnophobia, so this was huge for me, but since I’m always encouraging my boys to try something new, I figured that I should lead by example.

I can’t wait to visit Kalahari on a warmer day when we can go outside and meet more of the outdoor animals in their Safari Adventures Animal Park.  With the price only being $5 for resort guests and $7 for visitors, I think it’s a deal.

Kalahari Resort Spa

Kalahari Spa:

The most relaxing part of my trip was a visit to the Kalahari Spa.  The spa offers a variety of services such as massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, body treatments, and so much more.

The spa caters to all members of your family, including men and children.  In fact, the have a Junior Spa created just for little ones. Kalahari Spa Junior guests must be at least three years old to participate, with the exception of haircutting.  They even have their own room with pint-sized chairs and adorable decorations to make them feel very comfortable.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 9

As this was a mom/daughter spa day, I was excited to bring along my mom.  While there were many treatments to pick from, we both picked a 30-minute massage and facial.  As soon as we arrived, we were given robes and shown to the ladies’ locker room.  The locker rooms have more than enough space to change and offer lockers with personalized pins.

Once changed, you can enter a warm and inviting waiting room where you can put your feet up and relax or grab a drink.  With the dim lighting and no little ones yelling “Mama!!”, I could have been asleep in minutes.

Kalahari Resort Spa 2

Once we were called for our treatments, we were each brought into separate rooms for an hour of pampering.  Both of my treatments were fabulous, and it made me think why I don’t do this more often.  As moms we tend to put everyone before ourselves, but after those treatments, it dawned on me that I really need to carve out more time for myself.  The next time I visit Kalahari, a trip to the spa is on the list!

Big Game Room Arcade:

When you are looking for some wild, DRY fun at Kalahari, head down to their Big Game Room Arcade!  This arcade is one of the largest in Ohio so you are sure to find a game for everyone.  I really appreciated that instead of carrying around a cup of cumbersome tokens, the arcade games take a simple swipe from a reusable card.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 4

Kalahari’s arcade features favorites such as Whack A Mole and the Claw games and newer ones such as Skylanders and Gone Fishin’.  There are tons of electronic games, ride on toys, an air hockey table and so much more.  In fact this area even boasts a 9 hole mini golf game and mini bowling alley ($5).  With so much to do, you’ll definitely want to spend quite some time here.

My boys were lucky the night we went and won a ton of tickets.  My middle son Mason was especially excited when he won 1000 tickets for just one game!  After playing hard, it was time to cash in our tickets for some prizes.  With so many choices at the redemption counter, my boys had a hard time choosing what to “buy” but scored on a TON of loot!

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 5

Cooking, decorating and MORE

Throughout the day, Kalahari offers different activities such as crafts, coloring contests, cookie decorating, and more.  Best of all, many of these activities are FREE!  While not all activities are offered each day, you can count on at least a few (ask for the daily activity guide).  While we were there, they were offering cookie decorating, and my boys jumped at the chance to create their own “masterpiece”.

Near the arcade, a large table was set up with a ton of sprinkles and different colored frosting.  My boys had a blast making a cookie and since we were on vacation, they even got to eat it before dinner!

Kalahari Resorts Sandusky, Ohio – Part 1: Scrumptious Food Choices

March 11, 2014 by racheljk 20 Comments

Kalahari-Resort-Sandusky

Kalahari – FUN for the Whole Family!

I was recently invited to spend a couple of days at Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio.  We were able to do and see so much while we were there that I will be sharing a three-part series; Kalahari food, Kalahari dry activities, and Kalahari waterpark.

Read more about our Kalahari stay!

Part 2:  Kalahari dry activities
Part 3:  Kalahari waterpark

As we packed for our trip to Kalahari Resorts, I was a little concerned about what types of food would be available.  I know, crazy, right?  Kalahari offers so many dining choices throughout the resort; there is really something for everyone.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio 1

Cafe Mirage

I’m on a weight loss journey, and since I work out daily and watch what I’m eating, I wasn’t sure how I’d do being away from home.  Boy, was I wrong!  Kalahari has thought of it all, and while they have scrumptious, calorie-rich choices, they also have many healthy options too.

Soon after we arrived, it was lunch time, so we headed over to the Cafe Mirage, which is located conveniently on the lower level across from the arcade.  The Cafe Mirage boasts everything from wraps, burgers, pizza, and a HUGE create-your-own salad bar.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio

While your salad is made for you, you get to choose what topping to add, including the lettuce, veggies, salad dressing, and toppings.  In fact, they offer over 20 different toppings, even including whole hard-boiled eggs.  I loved being able to eat a filling meal without the guilt of overdoing it.

At the Cafe Mirage, my kiddos all enjoy pizza, and the pieces were so large that they were able to take it back to the room to finish later.  My hubby really enjoyed a freshly made sandwich and commented how flavorful it was.

The Reserve Restaurant

After spending a fun-filled day at the waterpark, we were able to check out one of Kalahari’s fine dining restaurants called The Reserve.  This charming, African-themed restaurant is located near the front lobby and has large windows along one side that overlooks their expansive waterpark.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio food 1

For dinner, we were able to sit with our bloggy friend, One Momma Saving Money, and her family.  Our boys are such good friends and they really enjoyed catching up.  All of our kiddos picked the children’s buffet which included kid favorites such as pizza, corn dogs, fries, and pasta.  As a mom of three young boys, I was glad that the kids were able to eat right away, with no wait.  Even better each kids meal came with at $10 arcade card as part of their dine and play program.

One of the hardest choices of the night was what yummy entree to pick, as their expansive menu includes burgers, sandwiches, unique salads, fish, steaks, pastas, stir fry’s and much more.  With the help of our cheerful waitress, we choose an appetizer of mozzarella sticks for the family to share and both ordered fillet’s.  While my husband choose to pair his with the corn chowder mashed potatoes, I choose and extra side of veggies.

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio food

Let me tell you, this steak dinner was hands down the best dinner I’ve ever had. My steak was cooked perfectly and it was it was melt in your mouth, yummy!  My husband stated that the mashed potatoes were so unique and the creamiest he’s ever tasted.  Before the dinner ended, my husband and I both discussed how this would be a wonderful place to come back for our upcoming anniversary.

To finish up dinner, we choose the ‘big enough to share” Paw Paw Sundae.  This dessert allows you to create your own masterpiece by giving you a humongous cookie with sundae toppings.  My kiddos got a kick out of the plate shaped like a bear paw and didn’t hesitate to dig right in!

kalahari resort Sandusky Ohio candy hut

Candy Hut

As a snack we took the boys over to Kalahari’s Candy Hut located at the front entrance.  Of course my boys gravitated right to the large cases as soon as we checked in so they were already very familiar with all that they offer.

From hand-dipped chocolates, sprinkled covered caramel apples, homemade fudge, salt water taffy, and a variety of gummies, Candy Hut is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Best of all you can order a basket and have a treat waiting in your family’s, friend’s or loved one’s room upon arrival.

kalahari resort Sandusky Ohio candy hut 1

The Great Karoo Martketplace/Reserve Restaurant

For breakfast, we headed up the the Great Karoo Martketplace Restaurant.  There was a short wait of only 10 minutes which I thought was great since we got there at breakfast rush hour. Our names were put on the list but we were offered to wait or to grab breakfast at The Reserve Restaurant nearby.  Since I had a spa appointment, we choose to head over.

Our friendly waitress informed us that breakfast is sometimes served there as an overflow but is buffet style just as is is at The Great Karoo Marketplace.  The buffet is FREE for kids 3 and under, $8.99 for kids and $13.99 for an adult.  With the amount of food available, I’d say it’s a bargain!

Kalahari Resort Sandusky Ohio buffet

From pancakes, eggs, sausage and gravy, potatoes, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit and more, you won’t have a hard time finding something you like.  In fact, you may wish for a larger plate…no worries you can make multiple trips!  I really enjoyed that this buffet offered choices for everyone in our family, even someone like me who is watching what they eat.

Stay tuned for post number two, Kalahari dry activities, and three, Kalahari waterpark!

I loved to being able to chat with so many of you — my fab readers — who were there too! 💕 Thank you for making the night even more special. Can't wait to hear what you all think once you watch it! #GirlsNight #AnotherSimpleFavor @asimplefavor

The city was buzzing last night! Not only was @shu The city was buzzing last night! Not only was @shuckedmusical at @playhousesquare but there was a @cleguardians game and a @cavs playoff game! What a gorgeous evening to enjoy our vibrant city! 🌽 After dinner, we saw @shuckedmusical musical and y’all… it was a-maize-ing! From the moment the curtain rose, I was all ears. The jokes were corny in the best way, the cast was pop-pin’, and the music? Straight up buttery smooth. Big shoutout to the writers for not husking around with the humor—this show shucks in all the right ways. I laughed, I teared up (maybe from the laughter), and I left the theater feeling like one happy kernel. Whether you're a theater buff or just stalk-ing a good time, go see Shucked. It’s a-maize-ing and I’m not ear-itating when I say that. It's at Playhouse Square through May 11th! #hosted #BroadwayCleveland #ShuckYeah #psqdistrict #ShuckedTour
