HalloWeekends at Cedar Point is sadly coming to a close but there is still time to enjoy!  I LOVE going to Cedar Point all season long, but the amazing decorations and cool nights of HalloWeekends winds up making it my favorite time of year!  While the rides are still open for you thrill seekers, there are other things to enjoy too. If you haven’t visited yet, I wanted to share 5 things not to miss at Cedar Point HalloWeekends.

Cedar Point HalloWeekends tip:  Visit on Friday night or Sundays when the crowds are at their lowest. The lines tend to be shorter.

#1 – The Great Pumpkin Fest:

Cedar Point has expanded their children’s area during HalloWeekends in 2014 and my boys loved it.  The Great Pumpkin Fest takes place every Saturday & Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., located in the areas around Kiddy Kingdom, the Main Midway, Planet Snoopy and Blue Streak Plaza. We easily spent two hours in this area and it was hard getting my kids to leave.  Here are a few things that you can expect at Cedar Point’s The Great Pumpkin Fest.

  • Trick or Treating – Kids stop at 8 stations where they can pick up not only candy but fun little toys, no costume required.
  • Cornstalk Maze – Let the whole family wander through the twists and turn of this fun little adventure.  We went through a few times and got lost everytime.
  • Pedal Tractors – Let your little ones burn off some energy and let them pedal to their hearts content around the track.
  • Haybale Maze – Back from years past, kids can walk through the this mini challenge.  Since the “walls” aren’t too high even the smallest can participate while you keep an eye on them.
  • Pumpkin Patch – Bring the mini pumpkins from your Trick or Treat bag and you can decorate it here at this station.
  • Mask Making – Color your own mask!  You can make it silly, crazy or spooky!
  • Foam Pit – This sudsy, bubbly area is a TON of fun!  My kiddos where a little apprehensive at first but once they jumped in they loved it.

#2 Monster Midway Invasion Celebration Parade:

Each Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m (weather permitting), you can catch the family friendly parade at Cedar Point.  During the parade you’ll spot some not-so-scary monsters, fun floats and can even interact with some fun characters! Get there early and grab a spot to sit.  You’ll enjoy it and the kids will too!

Cedar Point HalloWeekends Tip:  On Friday nights, all haunted attractions are open. However, only select rides are in operation.

#3 Spooky and Fun Live Entertainment:

During HalloWeekends at Cedar Point, there are a TON of live entertainment options to choose from.  Two of our family favorites are Sideshow: Carnival of Magic at the Jack Aldrich Theatre and The Skeleton Crew held outside at Celebration Plaza.  Both of these shows are high-energy and sure to please every member of your family.  We LOVE, LOVE the jumping skeleton guys as pictured above!  They are so fun to watch!

If you are looking for more spooky entertainment you’ll want to check out MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE LIVE! LEGACY OF SHADOWS. This show blends together music, theater and film (may be too intense for kids).

#4 The Haunted Houses:

If you don’t have the little ones with you or perhaps your “little ones” aren’t so little anymore, you may want to check out the haunted houses, outdoor scare areas, or mazes that Cedar Point offers. These areas are well marked in the park and on the map so you should be able to steer clear from them if you need to. In fact, I don’t know that my kiddos even know that they exist…yet.

These haunted areas are sure to get your adrenaline pumping and heart racing as you wander through the creepy rooms and hidden passage ways. Look out for those creepy monsters lurking in the shadows and hold on to your loved ones so your won’t be their next prey.

Cedar Point Halloweekends tip:  Halloweekends is open every Friday night at 6 pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 am.  Halloweekends goes all the way through November 1st

#5 Character Meet and Greet:

Throughout the park you’ll run into a bevy of different creatures from tall to short, from cute to ugly.  Some might be slightly scary for kiddos who tend to be already afraid of dressed up characters but I think that Cedar Point does an awesome job of picking the right characters so they are perfect for any age group.

These fun creatures will pose for pictures, give your kids high fives and even dance if the timing is right. My boys love seeing all the different characters each year and it’s fun to see how much they interact!

If you haven’t made it out to Halloweekends, I strongly suggest putting in on your fall calendar.  Winter will be here before we know it, so now if the perfect time to head out to Cedar Point and enjoy the day with your family!

Champagne dreams, flapper dresses, and a night for Champagne dreams, flapper dresses, and a night for Broadway in Cleveland? Count me in! ✨🥂 Last night we stepped back into the Roaring Twenties for media night at @bwaygatsby at @playhousesquare! My sister and I snagged our 1920s-inspired outfits and made a whole evening of it. We started with happy hour at @encorepsq, the stylish bar right across the street from Playhouse Square, which had the perfect swanky Gatsby vibes. I love their happy hours specials too! Then we grabbed a quick dinner at Sushi En before heading into the theater. And wow... this show is BIG Broadway. Think stunning costumes, gorgeous sets, incredible choreography, and all the glitz and glamour you'd expect from Gatsby. The production is visually spectacular and brings the lavish world of Jay Gatsby to life in a way that feels larger than life. If you love classic stories, dazzling performances, and a little Jazz Age sparkle, add this one to your summer theater list. ✨🎭 The Great Gatsby is playing at Playhouse Square through June 28 as part of the KeyBank Broadway Series. Tickets are currently still available and can be purchased by calling 216-241-6000 or online at playhousesquare.org. Who else loves a themed night out? 🍾 #thegreatgatsby #BroadwayCleveland #BWYCLE #BwayGatsbyTour
🎭 Did you know you can take a FREE behind-the-scen 🎭 Did you know you can take a FREE behind-the-scenes tour of @playhousesquare? 🎭 Everyone needs to add this to their Cleveland bucket list! Free public tours of Playhouse Square are offered on the third Saturday of every month, and they're packed with fascinating history, hidden details, and stories you probably never knew. You'll learn how this incredible theater district went from nearly being demolished in the 1970s to becoming the largest theater restoration project in the world. Did you know that Playhouse Square is the second-largest performing arts district in the United States, behind only Broadway in New York City, with 12 performance venues throughout the district? One of my favorite parts was getting to see everything up close and in detail without the usual crowds. From the stunning architecture to the behind-the-scenes stories, there were so many things I've walked past for years without realizing their significance. If you've ever attended a show, or even if you haven't, I highly recommend taking this tour. It's a whole new way to experience one of Cleveland's most iconic treasures. ❤️ Have you ever taken a Playhouse Square tour? Be sure to tell a friend! 🎟️👇 #PlayhouseSquare #ClevelandOhio #thisiscleveland #CLE #clevelandevents
Another Put-In-Bay giveaway coming soon! ☀️ Summe Another Put-In-Bay giveaway coming soon! ☀️ Summer is officially here, and what better way to celebrate than a girls' day at Put-in-Bay! 🚢💙 We hopped aboard the @millerboatline for a scenic ride to the island and rented golf carts from @esputinbay to explore all the fun spots around the @visitputinbay island. Did you know you can save money when you book them together? Check out the E's Golf Cart & Miller Ferry Put-in-Bay Discount Package when you reserve at least one day in advance! One of the reasons we love Miller Ferry is that it's the most affordable way to get to the island, and it's the only ferry that lets you bring your car. Plus, E's Golf Carts is conveniently located just around the corner from the Miller Ferry drop-off. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! We spent the day shopping, cruising around the island by golf cart, enjoying lunch at The Keys, relaxing at the little beach on the tip of the island, and taking a short hike to soak in the views. Put-in-Bay is such a fun destination for both groups and families. If you're bringing kids, be sure to check out the highly rated caves on the islands, play a round of putt-putt, visit the Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center, and stop by the Butterfly House for a colorful, family-friendly experience. (I usually just avoid the downtown area on weekend evenings if I'm visiting with kids.) Who's ready for an island day trip? #putinbay #MillerFerry #GirlsTrip #OhioAdventures #LakeErieIslands
🦖 My niece, brother, and I had a ROARing good time 🦖 My niece, brother, and I had a ROARing good time at @gocmnh on Sunday for DINO DAY! 🦕✨ A big thank you to @realgoodfoods for inviting us to this fun family event! We explored the museum, checked out life-sized dinosaurs, enjoyed hands-on activities, crafts, face painting, and interactive exhibits throughout the day. They even gave away COUPONS!! Of course, one of the highlights was sampling Realgood Foods' dino chicken nuggets! I personally eat Realgood chicken - there is always a bag in my freezer. It is high protein and low carb! I eat a lot of chicken and I'm picky with my brands, but I enjoy this treat when I need something fast and tasty! It was such a fun day filled with dinosaurs, learning, and making memories together. 🦖❤️
