So many people are without health insurance today. I’d like to tell you about this FREE site: Needymeds.org!

This program is income based and for people without prescription drug coverage.  If you have a prescription for a brand name drug (or even a generic) go to this site and under  Patient Assistance Programs on the left hand side click on either “brand name drug” or “generic drug”.  Then click on the first letter of the drug’s name and see if your prescription is listed.

A friend of mine recently had to fill a prescription for lumigan (very pricy eye drops)  She  filled out the application, signed it, and took it to the doctors office along with a copy of her 2011  tax return.  Within days the medicine was delivered to her eye doctor’s office and all she had to do it pick it up.

If she didn’t qualify for the program, she still could have downloaded a $25/1 coupon that is on the site.   You will see that there are coupons available for some of the drugs.
