Last weekend my family headed out to  Day Out with Thomas™: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014 at The Cuyahoga Valley Railroad in Peninsula, Ohio. Our family visited Day Out With Thomas last year so we knew we were in for a real treat.

My three year old Jackson is enamored with all things train related, especially Thomas the Train so he was beyond excited for the day to finally arrive.  Or course he had to wear his Thomas the Train hat and shirt for this special occasion.

Our Train ride was scheduled for 1:30 and since we arrived an hour early (as the ticket suggests) we were able to enjoy some of the festivities before our train took off.  My oldest son, Noah remembered the magic show from last year and wanted to head straight to that tent while my other boys were most interested in the three jump houses.

On top of memorable train ride with Thomas, Day Out with Thomas offers an area where kids can play with train tables, color pictures, get temporary tattoos, hear a story, and grab a snack.   There is even live kids music and a HUGE electric train table complete with a Thomas the Train car.  Don’t forget your camera as there are so may picture taking opportunities throughout the day.

When it was our turn to hop on the train, by boys were brimming with excitement.  They loved getting their tickets punched by train worker and receiving their train certificates on board.  With the about 30 minute train ride, you have more than enough time to enjoy the scenery, listen to Thomas music and spend time chatting about your favorite Thomas characters.

Time: Thomas the Tank Engine rides depart every 60 minutes. Departure times begin at 9:30am through 4:30pm each day.
