Here’s another great frugal summer fun idea for you!

The Cleveland Cinemas are offering a $1 Family Film series each Wednesday July 23rd.  The theaters that are participating include the Apollo Theatre in Oberlin, Ohio, Capitol Theatre in Cleveland, Chagrin Cinemas in Chagrin Falls, Shaker Square Cinemas, and Southside Works Cinema in Pittsburgh, PA.

All seats are just $1 to the following films in the series. Each film starts at 10 AM and tickets go on sale starting at 9:30 AM at the theatre box office only. One adult guardian is required for every 10 children.

  • STUART LITTLE – July 2nd
  • CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 – July 9th
  • THE NUT JOB – July 16th
  • THE LEGO MOVIE – July 23rd

Walking With Dinosaurs The Arena Spectacular returns to Quicken Loans Arena on July 9 for an amazing 8-performance engagement!  Based on the award-winning BBC Television Series, Walking With Dinosaurs will amaze you as you are transported back in time when dinosaurs roamed the earth.  Worldwide, more than eight million people have seen this show in 243 cities and over 2,000 performances.

During the show you will be able to experience these life–size beasts and truly see what is feels like to be up close and personal to these magnificent creatures.  Painstakingly details have been added to these beasts which include feathers, head crests and tail fans. This show remains a must-see for audiences of all ages.

Walking With Dinosaurs The Arena Spectacular  introduces you to 10 species from the reign of the dinosaurs. The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous period.  The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail.  Simply amazing!

I confirmed with Maui Sands in Sandusky, Ohio that they are once again offering a FREE Waterpark day pass when kids get all A’s on their report card!  They have not confirmed if there are specific days that the waterpass must be used on so you may want to call and ask, but I think this is a fantastic deal.
