I’m always on the lookout for some family friendly events to do with my kiddies.  If they are FREE that’s even better!

My boys are so excited about the NEW movie, The Boxtrolls, that’s coming to theaters on 9/26.  Since it’s rated PG, it will be a FUN night out for our whole family.  In celebration for the movie coming out, The SouthPark Mall and Q104 is hosting The Boxtrolls Cardboard Challenge on 9/20 from 11 AM – 2:00 PM.  This event is open to the public and FREE to attend.

At this event kids can use their imagination to build a cardboard creation for a chance to win fabulous prizes!  Prizes include, an Xbox 360 and $400 in gift cards to the mall. Q104 radio personality Average Joe will even be there, broadcasting from the event.  Kids are welcome to bring their own materials from home, or use those provided for a day of imaginative building and fun!

The Global Cardboard Challenge is a national event that was inspired by Caine’s Arcade (read more about it HERE).

Performers Chris Tomlin, Newsboys, For King & Country, and Jamie Grace will all be there to both praise and entertain.  This wildly popular night is one NOT to miss!
