I’ve always loved reading. Growing up, I had a book in my hand no matter where I went. Unfortunately, with all the technology that is available today I fear that kids are reading less. Not only does this effect their overall grades but also their imagination. If you little ones need a little extra encouragement to read, check this out!
Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern in Solon has created a genius way of encouraging kids to read with their Bucketeer Bookworms program! With this program, children in Kindergarten to 5th grade can pick up a Bookmark Tracker (see picture above) at any neighborhood location. Once the child has read 5 books and tracked them on the back of the bookmark, the student will receive a complimentary kid’s meal.
I absolutely LOVE that Rusty Bucket is offering this program for little ones. What a great way to get them reading!

thanks for such a nice giveaway! i was very excited to see that there is a location in dayton-just a short drive for me. this would be a great place for hubby and i to go have dinner (all 4 kids are grown and moved out!). i love that they have a program that encourages children to read-you are so correct that children do not read much anymore. i hope i win so that i can go and have the sunday special of a ‘hot brown’. yum!
