The Zookeepers Wife ~ Cleveland Advance Screening

by Leave a Comment

**Want more deals?  Find me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!**

Hey Cleveland readers, I have some advance screening passes to share with you for Focus Feature’s THE ZOOKEEPER’S WIFE. This inspirational true story of an unlikely heroine played by Jessica Chastain is based on the worldwide best-seller, The Zookeeper’s Wife. This movie shares an untold story of one woman’s bravery to save the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto.

Hurry over and grab passes to see an advance screening of The Zookeepers Wife at the Cedar Lee on Tuesday, March 28th at 7PM.  Keep in mind that passes can go fast. Everyone who attends must have a pass. Having a pass does not guarantee a seat. I strongly suggest arriving about 45 minutes early to get a seat.

The Zookeeper’s Wife Cleveland Advance Screening
When: Tuesday, March 28th
Time: 7pm
Where: Cedar Lee Theater

The real-life story of one working wife and mother who became a hero to hundreds during World War II. In 1939 Poland, Antonina Żabińska (portrayed by two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain) and her husband, Dr. Jan Żabiński (Johan Heldenbergh of “The Broken Circle Breakdown”), have the Warsaw Zoo flourishing under his stewardship and her care. When their country is invaded by the Nazis, Jan and Antonina are stunned – and forced to report to the Reich’s newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck (Daniel Brühl of “Captain America: Civil War”). To fight back on their own terms, Antonina and Jan covertly begin working with the Resistance – and put into action plans to save lives out of what has become the Warsaw Ghetto, with Antonina putting herself and even her children at great risk.
Director: Niki Caro (“North Country,” “Whale Rider,” “McFarland, USA”)
Writer: Angela Workman (“War Bride”), based on the nonfiction book by Diane Ackerman
Cast: Jessica Chastain (“Antonina Żabińska”),Johan Heldenbergh (“Jan Żabińska”),Michael McElhatton (“Jerzyk”),Daniel Brühl (“Lutz Heck”)
