No Double Coupons at Giant Eagle
Have you heard the news?
Giant Eagle just made a HUGE change in their coupon policy. Starting March 1st, Giant Eagle will no longer be doubling coupons. Here is their official announcement that will be in the upcoming ad. This is also reflected in the new Giant Eagle coupon policy.
No Double Coupons Policy:
Following industry trends towards eCoupons and digital offers, we will no longer double manufacturer coupons as of March 1. See our updated coupon policy at giantagle.com/coupon-policy
Fuelperks+ Changes
On top of this big change is another one about their Fuelperks+ program. Starting March 1st, customers who have not earned at least 50 redeemable perks within a calendar month will have the perks in their “amounts towards next reward” reset to zero at the end of each month.

Im sorry this is not right the people depend on those coupons that double it helps us out alot i guess i wont really shop there unless its a really good deal
I think its bullshit an hopefully they gonna loose some business, they already lost me a month ago when they wouldn’t take all my coupons,only 5 of them,an I had like 16 of them!!

I won’t be shopping there much anymore.I depended on double coupons to help me save money to get more food for my family.I won’t be using coupons there anymore.I guess I will go to Mike’s super market or tom’s riverside from now on.
While we will not end our shopping at GE we will in the future be buying ONLY THOSE ITEMS THAT ARE CURRENTLY ON SALE! We do not drive enough miles in a month to earn 50 perks, especially with the new pricing at the pumps. You are not the only gas station in town and with gas buddy on our cell phone we find that with the added dime a gallon, you are no longer viable.
I will be taking most if not all my business elsewhere. I live where there are multiple options that still double coupons. Also the fuelperks policy is ridiculous and for the people who don’t drive much and are a household of 1 or 2 it isn’t fair. How can you justify taking something away that people have earned by being loyal customers. They always had an expiration date but it was a system that was fair. The giant eagle closest to me seems to be undergoing a lot of changes and not for the better, so I’ll go where my business is appreciated.
Kroger did this back in December 2014 and pissed people off and now they go to Target Wal-Mart and Brig K-mart ( Doubles Coupons up to $1.00) with a 25.00 purchase. But sadly its closing November. I go to Dave’s IGA he doubles in our area up tp 1.00
I used to love shopping at Giant Eagle. They need to bring David Shapira back and fire his greedy daughter. With all the cuts in Food Perks Fuel Perks and the GE credit card and Double Coupons. New lower prices campaign is a crock of shit too because Kroger got rid of Double Coupons up to 75c cents for this digital coupons and lower prices. Did it work ? no I can answer that. Kroger raised their prices lowered selection and made Wal-Mart more profitable and made our Big K-mart really busy. Could GE cheapness be the sign of a deeper problem? Is it greed or they on the verge of bankruptcy. I also heard that GE merged with Kroger. If so that is the problem. the Kroger way is to climate all the savings high prices. I bet Giant Eagle will mere or has merged with Kroger? Or is it the sign of a immanent bankruptcy or sell off..
