Dips & Chips at Cowboy Food & Drink

Last week, we took the night off from cooking and went to Cowboy Food & Drink restaurant to check out their brand new, Dips & Chips menu items. Cowboy Dips & Chips isn’t just at Cowboy Food & Drink, but that it’s a national food concept that will be available in locations across the country. Luckily, we here in the Cleveland area don’t have to go far to get it!

Nestled in the beautiful city of Chagrin Falls, Cowboy Food & Drink offers a wide variety of All American & Tex-Mex Food including craft burgers and giant burritos. Their infamous wings that are smoked and roasted, NEVER deep-fried, are something to try. They have a large bar with a great selection of craft beers and bourbons too.

While our boys ordered off the menu, my husband and I couldn’t wait to try out their new food concept: Cowboy Dips & Chips. This menu item is built around two things I love: big, juicy dip sandwiches and homemade chips! Best of all, there are a lot of choices and combinations to choose from.

First up: CHIPS! You can choose from three flavors of homemade kettle chips: Salted, BBQ and Salt & Vinegar. For only $2 a bowl, we ordered them all. They were all a hit with my family. My personal favorite was the salt and vinegar while my husband leaned toward the BBQ. Each variety had just enough flavor without being overpowering. We gobbled up all three basket of chips and even asked about buying some to take home!

While my boys dove into their kids’ meals and battered chicken fingers dinner, my husband and I tried out their new Dips & Chips menu items. The concept features five types of uniquely-crafted sandwich dips and three flavors of homemade chips. You choose the sandwich and chips to accompany your meal (we “cheated” and ordered our chips early). There are 5 types of dips (Prime Rib, Pastrami, Pork Belly, Chicken and Roast Beef). All dip sandwiches are served on fresh, butter-toasted buns and accompanied with au jus. You can also add hot mustard and creamy horseradish for dipping. The pickles are a must to try too, they are delicious!

My husband and I loved the Dips & Chips sandwiches! In fact, it’s hard to pick a favorite because they were all so unique. The meat was tender and flavorful and the bread was the perfect combination of soft and crunchy. This new menu item is a must-try!

My husband’s favorite was the pork belly (oh my the flavors!!) and mine was the prime rib. We also sampled on the pastrami and chicken and they were also very flavorful. Honestly, you can’t go wrong no matter which one you choose.

The best part is that 3% of every sale of Dips & Chips will go to local non-profit organizations, starting with those supporting COVID-19 relief. What an awesome way to give back to the community!

Friday & Saturday: Smoked Prime Rib Night ~ 4pm – close
Sunday: $8 Sausage sandwich or dinner ~ open – close

Happy house specials are every day, from 4 – 6 pm. Deals include $2 drinks and $5 margaritas. There is even happy hour food which prices as low as $5 each.
