What is a Fitbit?
- Tracks steps, distance, calories burned, and stairs climbed
- Measures your sleep cycle
- Upload your stats wirelessly
Why I wear a Fitbit:
My trainer Suzy from Your Best Fitness Friend (yes, she’s totally awesome) suggested this little gem back when I started working with her in February of last year. I always knew that I should keep track of my food intake and even my workouts but I never thought about keeping track of my steps (10,000 minimum is recommended every day), floors climbed, calories burned, or even my sleep. This little tracker does it all and best of all it does it wirelessly! That means whenever I walk by my computer it uploads it for me straight to the website. No more pen and pencil or slips of paper to keep track of!
Why you should wear a Fitbit:
If you need a little kick in your butt motivation wise, the Fitbit is perfect! No, it won’t go to the gym for you but it will help remind you that it’s time to get up and get moving when you see your progress through out the day! The Fitbit will not only help you get motivated but also stay motivated by allowing you to earn badges or connect with friends for support or friendly competitions. You can even log food, workouts and more online.
The whole family of Fitbit products are HIGHLY rated so I know you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had a Fitbit Charge HR since June. I love using it, and it’s been a really important piece of taking off nearly 25 pounds since July. Paired with MyFitnessPal, I can accurately estimate calorie intake versus burn. This means I can easily figure out when I need to up my protein for a day versus when I can enjoy a glass of wine.
