Every year, I think that the Disney On Ice show is the best year yet but somehow each year, they just outdo themselves! I’m happy to report that once again, they have.
This year I treated my niece and nephew to their first Disney On Ice experience. At ages 2 and 4 years old they are the perfect ages to enjoy their first Disney show.
Wayfinding with Moana with Special Guest Mickey
Before the show we went to the all new Wayfinding with Moana with Special Guest Mickey event. This fun 45 minutes event is open to everyone but an extra ticket for each person is required (ages 2 and up).
While waiting for Moana to show, we were treated to snacks, juice and water. We were also able to make masks and color a picture. We got we able to take pictures with Moana’s friend.
Once Moana arrived everyone shouted with glee. She took time to talk to all the kids in attendance and took pictures. Moana and her friend, played a navigating the waters game, did a sing-along and led the kids in an island dancing lesson. I saw smiles all-around.
Towards the end of the event, the main mouse, MICKEY arrived! I’ve never seen my nephew smile so big! He was so excited to meet the REAL MICKEY MOUSE! Mickey chatted with all of the kids and took pictures. We were even given 1 printed photo in a frame.
I think the Wayfinding with Moana with special guest Mickey was FUN. While a little on the pricey side, I think being able to meet Mickey outside of Disney is worth it! On the way out of the event, we were given a special tag and lanyard. Tickets are $50 each and are separate from a ticket to the show. Keep in mind that tickets for this event are only offered for select shows; check show listings for availability.
Disney On Ice Roadtrip Adventures
This year we sat in the Extra Magic Zone. These seats are located in the middle section of the arena within the first five rows. These seats are super close to the action and everyone who sits here gets a special lanyard to keep. On top of this when you choose these seats you may be selected to participate in show activities. Keep in mind that participants are selected at random. Activities may include riding in the Magic Mobile vehicle during the show on the ice, having your image featured on the show video screens or getting chosen to sit near the ice where you can interact with performers! This is what we got to do!
Disney always puts on a fantastic show, but this year it’s simply amazing! Between the great costumes, fun songs, and amazing skating and acrobatics you’ll be . Disney on Ice Presents Road Trip Adventures is at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse through Sunday, January 19, with shows on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
