Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan Fest

Hey football fans, did you know that the first ever Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan Fest is coming to the I-X Center on May 3-4, 2014?  You won’t want to miss this exciting event as Jim Brown, Joe Namath, Barry Sanders, Lynn Swann, Terry Bradshaw, Marshall Faulk, Warren Sapp & Franco Harris will be among an unprecedented gathering of 100 Hall of Famers.

There is so much to do and see at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan Fest, including:

  • A 30,000 square foot reverential walkthrough experience upon entry, dedicated to the participating Hall of Famers.
  • The Gridiron. A full size 100 yard indoor field with special clinics conducted by Hall of Famers, featuring local College and High School teams. Fans and families will also have free time to play on the field, with Hall of Famers stopping by for visits.
  • Draft Chalk Talk Theater. A 1,000 seat presentation theater, where fans will interact with Hall of Famers to discuss the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft. Fans are encouraged to participate in Q & A.
  • Legends Theater. A 1,000 seat presentation theater, where fans will witness Hall of Famers discuss memorable football moments on their Road to Canton. CNN legend, Larry King will host the Saturday ‘Road to Canton’ sessions. Pro Football Hall of Fame President, David Bakerwill host the Sunday sessions. Fans are encouraged to participate in Q & A.
  • FREE memorabilia appraisals by Heritage Auctions (ha.com) “The World’s Largest Collectibles Auctioneer”.
  • Interactive games of skill, suitable for all ages, including Quarterback Challenge, Touchdown Run, Lineman Push, Backyard Kick,Buttonhook, Shotgun Challenge, Mini-Camp & Combine and more.
  • A gallery of iconic bronze busts on display, rarely removed from their home in Canton.
  • PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: Fans will have a chance to take photos with Hall of Famers in the bust gallery, and throughout the expansive show floor.
  • A Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibit titled, “Pro Football and the American Spirit”, featuring footage and rare artifacts honoring NFL players as members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Radio Disney Cleveland family friendly shows. Saturday 5-7pm and Sunday 1-3pm.
  • A 6,000 square foot official Pro Football Hall of Fame merchandise store.
  • FREE PARKING at the I-X Center.

There are four separate shows that make-up the two-day Fan Fest (see showtimes below).  Each show will feature different Hall of Famers.

  • Terry Bradshaw One-Man Show:  Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw will perform his one-man show called “Terry Bradshaw: America’s Favorite Dumb Blonde…My Life in Four Quarters,” twice on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Accompanied by his singers, “the I-Qties,” and live band, Bradshaw shares stories about growing up in Louisiana, his four Super bowl rings, three marriages, toupee modeling days and his broadcasting and acting careers divided into the “four quarters” of his life.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents LEGENDS, is coming to Youngstown, Ohio April this weekend (4/25 – 4/28th)!  While I live in the Cleveland area my family is heading up opening night!

Our family just loves the circus and we can’t wait for this all-new show, held at the Covelli Centre.  This show will unite iconic circus stars with living mythological creatures in a celebration of the LEGENDS that have captured imaginations for centuries.  Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson guides Paulo the Legend Seeker on his quest to discover real, living legends from around the world and presents Paulo’s fantastic discoveries to circus fans everywhere.

Mythology meets reality as Paulo encounters the wondrous Pegasus and the amazing Unicorn, as well as circus legends such as big cat presenter Alexander Lacey; the Riders of the Wind Cossack horsemen; and motorcycle daredevils, the Torres Family.  They all come together along with a cast spanning 25 countries in a spectacular production.

LEGENDS also boasts the largest display of exotic hair-hanging artists in the entire world, magnificent Asian elephants, a twenty-acrobat troupe perched atop only a pair of bicycles and a never-before-seen double-wide, high-flying trapeze act.
