I’m not the comic book lover in the family. That’s the hubby and kiddos. But when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) I’m a BIG fan. I’m mean what’s not to love with stars such as Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman, and Tom Hiddleston?

Yes, this movie has much more more than awesome lead actors. So much more! I love how Avengers: Infinity War features almost every single Marvel hero that has appeared in the films in the past 10 years. They’ve been tying this together a story, one tiny piece at a time and it all comes to a head with Avengers: Infinity War.

In case you’ve missed out on the previous movies, here’s a brief rundown. Thanos (he’s the bad guy) is out to collect the Infinity Stones. Those are the mysterious little gems that have been seen in various forms throughout many of the MCU Films. I won’t tell you why Thanos wants them, but let’s just say it isn’t to make the world a better place. When Bruce Banner informs Dr. Strange about what’s coming, Earth’s mightiest heroes gather to try and stop Thanos’ plan. Want to know if they succeed? Be sure to check out the movie!

This movie has a TON of action! I mean, the title of the movie has the word “war” in it. The scenes aren’t graphic but it may be too much for younger viewers. Other than that, it was a very good movie, with a lot of humor and plenty of emotion. This is a must-see movie and you won’t be disappointed. Grab it for your next family movie night!

STORYLINE

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets.

Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy and featuring a special performance by Misty Copeland, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale. In theaters on November 2, 2018.
