Rite Aid’s New Load2Card Feature – Changes To +Up Rewards Starts September 2nd!
Beginning September 2nd, 2012, +Up Rewards will be automatically loaded to your wellness+ card (they will no longer print at the bottom of register receipts!). In addition, a +Up Reward can only be redeemed starting at 6 a.m. on the day after it was earned and expires 14 days after issue.
You will have the option to receive your +Up Rewards on your register receipts rather than having them loaded on your wellness+ card. If you prefer this paper option, just visit your local Rite Aid store and ask the cashier to switch you to the paper +UP option (you will need to show your wellness+ card or give the phone number associated with your wellness+ account) or call 1‐800‐RITEAID to switch to paper +UPs. If you choose to use paper +UPs, +UP activation will still be at 6AM the day after the +UP is earned.
Rite Aid will also be launching +UP Text Notifications so you can track your +Up Rewards on the go. Wellness+ members can text “REWARD” to “RATEXT” on their mobile phones to receive a weekly text of the number and value of the +UPs available on their wellness+ card.

So many people are without health insurance today. I’d like to tell you about this FREE site: Needymeds.org!
This program is income based and for people without prescription drug coverage. If you have a prescription for a brand name drug (or even a generic) go to this site and under Patient Assistance Programs on the left hand side click on either “brand name drug” or “generic drug”. Then click on the first letter of the drug’s name and see if your prescription is listed.
A friend of mine recently had to fill a prescription for lumigan (very pricy eye drops) She filled out the application, signed it, and took it to the doctors office along with a copy of her 2011 tax return. Within days the medicine was delivered to her eye doctor’s office and all she had to do it pick it up.
If she didn’t qualify for the program, she still could have downloaded a $25/1 coupon that is on the site. You will see that there are coupons available for some of the drugs.

Money Saving Tip For Booklovers!
Here’s a money saving tip:
Whenever I see a book that interests me, I take a picture of the book cover with my smartphone. When I get home, I get online and log into my local library site and put a hold on the book (or in my case, books because I love to read!). You just need a username and password. If the library does not have the book (I hate it when that happens!), I have called the library and requested that they purchase it. They have never told me no. It may take longer to get the book, but I have saved so much money this way!
When the book comes in, the library will email me to pick it up! It is that easy.
If I find a book that I LOVE, I can always purchase it at the bookstore (on sale, of course!)
