Care Smart Watch
Do you have an aging parent or relative that wants an easy way to stay in touch with family? The Care Smart Watch was designed for them and you in mind!
What Is The Verizon Care Smart Watch?
The Verizon Care Smart Watch, which was released earlier this year, was designed for the unique needs of the older generation and their caregivers. It streamlines calling and texting, text-to-speech, reminder settings, and one-button emergency contact calling.

Setting Up the Care Smart Watch
Before my first use, I charged the Care Smart Watch app using the easy charger inside the box. I love how it uses a magnet to connect the wire and phone charger. It almost snaps to connect which makes it super easy!
While the smartwatch was charging, I downloaded the Verizon Care Smart Watch app to my smartphone. I found that the app was extremely easy to set up. Keep in mind that the main watch wearer should download the app as well as any caregivers that want to send and receive texts with the wearer.
Once the app was downloaded and the watch was charged, I found it easy to add contacts, set reminders/alarms, and set steps. The app holds a lot of information for both the wearer and caregiver including battery life, the wearer’s location, and what calls were made and received.
My Favorite Features
I love a lot about the Care Smart Watch but I do have a few favorite features. One is the one-touch location sharing. The caregiver can see when dad gets home from church or mom has arrived at his doctor’s appointment with Care Smart’s location sharing. Wearers can share their location with friends or family who have the Care Smart app, or you can track their location and set time or location-based alerts. How awesome is that?
If you have a loved one that is prone to get lost or confused, you can set up the GPS boundaries on this watch. Doing so will allow the watch to send you a message if the wearer goes outside a boundary area. If you don’t need that feature it’s easy to shut it off on the app.
Another big bonus about this watch is that you or the wearer can create a contact list of who can call the watch. That means no random calls, political calls, or scam calls. The only people able to dial the watch are the ten that are set up in the contact list on the app. That’s it. No one else. Not even if they have the number.
This phone also boasts a One-Touch Emergency Call. The watch wearer holds down the button on the left and it will immediately call their emergency contact. Easy peasy! It’s great that my loved one can call quickly if they need me.
The Care Smart watch makes it easy for the wearer to text anyone with the Care Smartwatch app downloaded, as it comes with preloaded emojis and pre-written texts. This means they don’t have to type anything out. The wearer can even choose a tap to speak option when sending a message.
Personal Care Smart Watch Review
I’ve been using the Care Smart Watch for about a month now. I’ve worn it to the grocery store, on a weekend trip, on my walks and just about anywhere I go.
I love the ease of use for the Care Smart Watch. I can see who is calling clearly on the display and I have no issues hearing the person talking, even in a busy area. I love that there are no spam calls (which can happen all day long on my cell phone) and that I can call quickly on it.
The only downside that you could encounter is if you are in an area with no cell service, then there is no service for the watch. Honestly, I don’t see this happening much at all. My family has Verizon cell service and we are never out of range.
Overall, I’m loving the watch. I’ll be trying it for just a couple more days before giving it to my mom and grandma to try.
Care Smart Watch Cost
You know I love a deal! The watch itself is $150, but you’ll save $50 if you are buying a new phone at the same time. For current Verizon customers, service, it’s just $10 a month! If you don’t already have a Verizon plan it’s only $15 a month. I think that is very reasonable for peace of mind!
