If you’ve been around my blog for a while you know my family are big movie buffs! Pre-COVID times, I would host advance movie screenings and do regular DVD giveaways on my blog. It seemed like my family and I were always promoting or attending a movie premiere. Man, how times have changed.
My family and I haven’t been inside a movie theater for over six months… that is until today! I had heard that an Atlas Cinemas Theater near me was offering private group theater rentals so I called to check it out.

PRIVATE AUDITORIUM RENTAL
For a limited time only, you can enjoy your own private auditorium for your family and friends! Best of all, pricing starts at just $50 and tax is included!
Here’s how it works. Simply call your movie location and check the date that you want to rent. I paid a deposit of $10 over the phone (you can also do this in person) and then I set the date with family and friends.
You choose the movie and bring your own DVD with you on the day of the screening. They accept both regular DVDs and Blu-Ray. You can even grab some concessions as well. Movie popcorn is a must!
PRICES
I thought the prices were very reasonable. It’s $50 for up to 10 family and friends and $100 for up to 25 family and friends. There is a $25 surcharge for new releases.
For our first movie back, we chose THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. My family has seen this movie countless times but seeing there is nothing like seeing it on the big screen! The music, storyline, and non-stop action is something that will stay with you long after you leave the theater.
I am so glad we did this and our group is already planning our next movie date! I think we are going to do a Halloween movie next!
Call your favorite Atlas Cinemas location to arrange your own private screening. Please allow 24-48 hours to schedule.
