I was invited as a guest of Applebee’s to a media sampling event to try the new menu items. All opinions are my own.

Tomorrow July 21, 2015, Applebee’s is giving everyone FREE FOOD during their Applebee’s Taste The Change event! The best part is that there is NO PURCHASE necessary (of course, how could you not get some of their other yummy food??)!

To snag this deal all you need to do is visit your local Applebee’s and they will give you an appetizer to try out. You can pick either their NEW Sriracha Shrimp or their NEW Churro S’mores. I tried both of these appetizers last week and they were simply amazing. Since I personally prefer spicy over sweet, the Sriracha Shrimp were my favorite. They are so good!

The Sriracha Lime Shrimp is coated with a light and flaky coating, and has a Sriracha Lime sauce. While it’s on the spicy size side, my mom who doesn’t like too much spice said it was the perfect temperature for her. The Churro S’mores offer twisted cinnamon churro twists with a warm dipping sauce that has a layer of chocolate on the bottom and is covered in roasted marshmallows. It’s a light dessert and not too sweet.

At the Applebee’s tasting that I attended last week, I also sampled a couple other Applebee’s menu items.

Triple Hog Dare Ya: What a fun name for a great sandwich! This two-handed sandwich is stacked high with pulled pork, Black Forest ham, thick sliced bacon, crispy onions and melted cheddar cheese.  It’s then all carefully layered on a Ciabatta bun. This is not the type of sandwich I’d normally order but after sampling, it is now! It’s delicious!

Maple Bacon Chicken Piadini: This wrap offers a cedar-seasoned chicken, thick-sliced bacon, cheddar cheese and a sweet and savory maple mustard held together in a unique Paidini wrap. It’s finished off on the grill. The taste was superb and it was a light yet filling sandwich. Pefect for lunch or dinner.

Did you know? All sandwiches and burgers come with FREE refills of fries or their new house chips. So tasty!

    The Sriracha Shrimp are good! And my favorite Applebee’s meal is the Cedar Grilled Chicken (I substitute with grilled shrimp) garnished with Granny Smith apple relish/lemon olive oil vinaigrette/ over a blend of cranberries, rice, honey-glazed pecans & quinoa!

    I really love the Clubhouse Grill. But my favorite thing about Applebee’s is how many healthy meals they offer and how delicious they are!
