Disclosure: I attended a recent McDonald’s event where I learned all about the coffee making process. This is not a paid post but my breakfast was paid for.

To make sure you get that perfect cup of coffee, McDonald’s brews fresh coffee all day long. In fact since great taste starts with great quality, McDonald’s is even involved in the growing and processing of their coffee. Since McDonald’s has a stringent criteria for the coffee that they deliver to their customers they partner with farmers to ensure that the growing and harvesting is done correctly. This is turn helps the farmers become more productive which can help them earn more money.

Once the coffee has been shipped to the stores, McDonald’s has a plan in place to make sure that you care getting the freshest cup of coffee. Since coffee is 98% water, McDonald’s uses an extensive filtration system that removes any impurities and leaves you with great tasting coffee. To ensure the coffee stays at the optimum temperature they use stainless steel carafes and note the time when each pot is made. Once the time is expired, the remaining coffee is thrown out and a new pot is made.
