Our son’s last day of Kindergarten is today! I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were picking out a lunchbox and backpack.
As a sign of appreciation I wanted to give my son’s teacher something fun and useful so I made your a “Summer Survival Basket”. I bought a large salad bowl with tongs and filled it with all kinds of goodies. This bowl was filled to the brim with things such as sunscreen, Kool-aid, peanuts, nailpolish, hand sanitizer, candy, wet ones, gum, Jell-O, Off spray, start ice cube trays and much more that you can’t see in the picture. What’s great is that I was able to use some of the FREEBIES that I had gotten with coupons!
I’m really happy with how it turned out and really appreciate the hard work and dedication of the teachers not only at my son’s school but all schools. Did you do something special for your child’s teacher? I’d love to hear about it!

I had 5 teachers to buy for…so we did $6 hanging baskets with a handstamoed note that said “Thanks for helping me GROW”. For the main teacher, I also wrote ag nice thank you card. What was sad is I think we were one of the only people to give the teacher something…it doesn’t cost anything to write a thank you note.
