See that cute couple up there? Those are my parents, 40 years ago today! On a cold, snowy Sunday night, they vowed to love with their whole heart and stick together in good times and in bad. I’ve learned so much from my parents over the years and continue to do so.
My parents not only raised 5 children but also have been foster parents for over 30 years to countless foster children. They even continue to open their home today. One of my earliest memories is a foster child entering my home. My mom gave the little girl a hug and made us lunch. An act as simple as that, distracted this little one long enough to stop crying and relax.
While my mother has always been a stay-at-home mom, she has helped my father as he has pastored a church for almost 35 years. As you can see they have not only been faithful to each other but also to children in the community, and to their church.
