GROSSOLOGY Now Open at Cleveland Great Lakes Science Center ~ GIVEAWAY

Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body now open at Great Lake Science Center in Cleveland

I have three boys and they all LOVE gross stuff! In fact, the grosser the better! Stinky feet, burps, passing gas it all sends them into a fit of giggles.

If your kiddos are into all that is gross, the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland is the place to take them. Through January 6th, Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body is open to explore. Best of all, it is included with the cost of general admission. This “science-in-disguise” exhibit allows kiddos to explore how their bodies work through hand-on activities.

As soon as you walk into the exhibit, you’ll notice the vibrant colors and wacky figures. This sets the tone and lets you know you’re about to have some fun.

Want to learn about mucus? You’ll learn all about it from the leaky faucet guy, Nigel Nose-It-All! You can interact with this 9 foot animatronic figure while hearing what mucus is, how it’s made and why your body needs it. So yucky and interesting all at same time.

My boys had a blast climbing the skin wall covered with warts and hair and tried it a few times. There is a pad underneath and it doesn’t go very high so it’s perfect for “kids” of all ages. Be sure to check out the information board when you finish your climb and you learn a lot about your skin and an interesting fact about King Tut and zit cream!


Not gross enough? Kids under 48 inches can crawl through a 30-foot long 3-D model of the digestive system and they can slide down the esophagus.  My youngest kept running back to this area!

At Grossology you can play a pinball game called “Gas Attack” with food items for bumpers. Talking about gas, don’t miss the station where you can create different sounds that replicate the physics of passing gas. So many fun sounds that is sure to have your family laughing.

Don’t miss the vomit center where you’ll learn all the reasons people throw up and be sure to walk through the giant nose to learn about air filtering and mucus production. It’s so large an adult
can walk right through.

Before you leave try your hand at the Grossology Game. You can even challenge your family and friends. Don’t like your score? Just play again!

The Grossology exhibit, based on the books of the same name by Sylvia Branzei, is such a FUN exhibit. You and your family will love exploring, playing and learning! Be sure to schedule your visit because this GROSS exhibit only goes through January 6th.

    We havnt been to the science center in several years. Im a mom of all boys 3 under 2 yrs old but my older 3 boys love this place they are Intrigued by everything here. I would be very happy to win these tickets and extremely grateful
