I’m known by many as the Coupon Queen. Well perhaps it’s the Coupon Nut, but doesn’t Coupon Queen have a better ring to it? I use coupons reguarly and everywhere including drug stores, restaurants, the movies, kiddie events, and grocery stores. I know it’s crazy! I enjoy getting things for free or at a very low cost; it’s exciting.
I’ve been around coupons ever since I was a little girl. I remember walking the aisle at the grocery store with my mom and her yellow tupperware container that she has turned into a coupon holder. While “couponing” has changed a bit since then, the concept is still the same. Match the store sales with a coupon for the best deals.
Do you use coupons? You should be! It’s fun and rewarding! Some say that they just don’t have time, but the great thing about coupons is that you can use as many as you want and invest as much time as you have available. For instance, area drug store reguarly have items for free after coupons, If you were to just pick up one or two free items a week think about how much of your yearly budget you would save. So start couponing and watch the savings add up!
Another reason to coupon is to donate. With the economy being down, many people who use to be able to donate supplies or money have been unable to. Did you know that with couponing you can get most of your health and beauty products free? This would include toothpaste, shampoo, body wash and razors. I encourage people to buy what their family needs and to donate the rest. Area shelters, food banks, and church’s can use these items to give away to those in need. You can even save some products and give to friends who have fallen on hard times. I don’t advocate clearing the shelves in the stores or storing 40 tubes of toothpaste in your home so be cognicent of how much you buy. We can use coupons to not only save money but to also help others.
So start saving your Sunday coupons and give couponing a try. Perhaps you will become a Coupon Queen…eeer Nut just like me!
