Hot dogs, picnics, fireworks and Cedar Point! A Fourth of July celebration weekend just isn’t the same without a stop at America’s favorite park, Cedar Point! Growing up, my family would visit Cedar Point on this holiday weekend and now that I have a family of my own, we often do the same. Friday evening, my family stopped up at Cedar Point for a few hours and we had a blast. In fact, I think it was the perfect way to start our holiday weekend.

FREE ADMISSION FOR MILITARY AT CEDAR POINT:
Did you know that Cedar Point if offering free admission for all active, retired and honorably-discharged members of the military this weekend? Each will receive one complimentary adult admission ticket July 1 – 4 with a valid ID. (Valid forms of ID include: active duty ID, retired personnel ID, VA ID or a copy of DD-214 discharge papers and photo ID.) Military members may also purchase up to six discounted tickets for immediate family members for $43 each, a savings of $22 off the regular gate price. These tickets and the free tickets for military are available at park admission windows only.
CEDAR POINT’S FANTASTIC FIREWORKS:
If you are visiting this weekend be sure to stay for the fireworks! Cedar Point’s Fantastic Fireworks are brought to life on the shores of Lake Erie at 10:30 p.m. each night. Plus, every guest who visits on July 4 will receive a pair of 3D viewing glasses when they enter the park. We all got a pair last night and LOVED them! They definitely added to the fireworks display as they provided a spectacular three-dimensional rainbow starbursts and brought viewing fireworks to a whole new level.
VIP VIEWING PARTY ON THE CEDAR POINT BEACH:
Last night my family was invited to the Cedar Point VIP Viewing Party on the Beach! When we arrived, we all got a pair of 3D viewing glasses (which my kiddos LOVED) and light-up Cedar Point lanyards which flickered. My boys were over the moon with these Cedar Point trinkets!
Hungry? Then this is the party for you! At the Cedar Point VIP Viewing Party you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet of hamburgers, brats, hot dogs chips and drinks. It was a perfect dinner after riding some rides! When it was time for the show you can grab a seat right on the beach in a comfy folding chair (keep in mind that seats are limited.). This was great since we had forgotten our blanket. Want to join the party? Tickets for this event are just $20 for adults and $15 for kids 12 & under, guests will eSeating is limited. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance.
ALL-AMERICAN GRILL OUT:
If you are visiting Cedar Point on July 4th don’t miss their All-American Grill Out! This “picnic” includes an all-you-can-eat meal, including fried chicken, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, watermelon, chips, cookies, ice cream and unlimited Coca-Cola fountain drinks. The setting is the best backyard on the Great Lakes – the beautiful Lakeside Pavilion adjacent to the Cedar Point Beach. Guests can save $5 on the All-American Grill Out when they purchase tickets online in advance for only $19 for adults and $14 for kids 12 & under; ticket prices at the park are $24 for adults and $19 for kids 12 & under.
