I used to live in an apt. that I had to put my can goods in drawers not cupboards. I took masking tape and put what was in the can and put it on the lid of the can. My favorite tip is do not cut apart Sunday coupon inserts. I date them and put them in a folder with that weeks date on them. Then when I see match ups posted and they give the circular date, I can go right to it. When I used to cut and search through piles of coupons, I would give up looking and not use them. Each week, I print a word page that says what coupons are in that weeks circular and keep them in a binder. This way I can just look through each list to check faster for those of things I am getting.

I know You need to pay down the highest interest rate stuff (credit cards / loans) first but we just couldn’t get ahead! We decided to get a Home Equity Line of Credit, which I was VERY hesitant about. The first year of the HELOC the interest is only 2.4% – much lower than any of our loans or credit cards. We only took out enough that we could pay back in that first year, but the line of credit will remain open for us to draw from for 10 years, should an emergency arise.
Anna Tetreault says
