Family Garden Initiative is looking for needy Lorain County families to disperse GardenSoxx to. This faith-based organization’s main mission is to provide fresh food to low income families through providing them with above ground, low maintenance gardens. How awesome is that?
If you are a family with a small, outdoor, sunlit space (any 4 foot by 4 foot surface) and interested in receiving a free garden, head over HERE and fill out the form. In early May, the list will be reviewed to determine who will get the gardens. This will be determined based on supply and location.
Please note that when you sign-up you are requesting a garden; gardens are not guaranteed.

Recipients will be provided with:
* 8 GardenSoxx
* Plants and Seeds
* Watering can
* Recipe book
* Instructional book.
On the morning of Saturday May 18 a small team of 3-4 people from Church of the Open Door will deliver & install the garden. That team will plant the plants and seeds, water the garden, and show you how you can easily maintain the garden.
I think this is a wonderful outreach program! What a great way to show our community about Jesus’s love!
